August in the Adirondacks is rife with wildflowers. The abundance of daisies, black-eyed Susans, and Queen Anne’s lace along every roadside prompted us to go through our personal photo archives for wild arrangements we’ve made for get-togethers, or just to brighten up the office. We also threw in a few garden snaps, a bouquet of wild purple irises from late June, and a few photos of perennial hydrangeas displayed in (what else?) aqua mason jars. Thinking about adding some wildflowers into the mix at your wedding? While they add a rustic, natural touch, keep in mind that these wild beauties won’t hold their shape as well as flowers from the florist — some wilting after a few hours is inevitable.
